Real truth is simple. Hasn’t that been your experience?
And a simple truth about 2014 is this: 2014 will only be different from 2013 if you decide it will be different.
So simple a truth that 99 out of 100 will dismiss what I just said.
But 1 out of 100 will pause. Chew on it. Reflect on what that sentence really means. Take a few minutes to journal about it. To imagine two scenarios: One where you live that simple truth and the other where you fight it.

99 people out of a 100 will only do something after they feel confident that they know HOW to do it.
But 1 person in 100 will first decide to make a change. And THEN they’ll figure out HOW.
First WHAT. Then HOW.
99 people out of a 100 won’t take a bold step until they feel comfortable taking that bold step. (Simple truth: There’s nothing bold about doing what’s comfortable.)
They hem and haw. They wonder and worry. They ‘what if’ and ‘how will I…’
And for them, 2014 will be very much like 2013.
99 people out of a 100 look at their past experiences, disappointments and setbacks. And they believe their past will also be their future.
1 out of a 100 knows the future need not resemble the past. These folks slow down long enough to get clear about what they WANT their business and life to be.
They DECIDE they will make that picture their reality. (Decide means they absolutely commit to it. Even when they know that to get there, they will pass through ups and downs.)
And then they ask “What’s the very next step?”
That next step might be to make a single phone call. Send a single email. Enroll in a coaching program to finally fill in the few things you’re missing.
