They say ‘content’ is king.
They talk about ‘content marketing.’
Content. Content. Conent.
You need content.
Hmm. Do you really?
When I hear ‘content’ I think ‘filler.’
I think packing peanuts.
Content is what you put ‘out there’ when you don’t have anything more substantive to offer.
Forget about ‘content’. Instead focus on having an impact.
That’s a fine distinction, but one that makes a vast difference.
It’s the difference between striking at the root (what we do around here) and hacking at the leaves.
Yes, your blog post, your video, your tweet, your podcast will contain ‘content.’
But ‘content’ is the superficial description.
The ‘root’ is that your content must have an impact. It must help your audience see his or her life more clearly. Take action. Get a better result.
It must help him understand that “Yes, now I get it. Things really CAN be different and now I can see how.”
Of course you can go too far with this.
If you’ve been putting out first rate ‘how to’ content for free… And people tell you how good your stuff is, but then no one buys… Well, you’ve gone too far in the other direction.
To attract a steady, consistent, predictable flow of your ideal clients, you need to find the golden mean.
And it’s that golden mean that we help you master in my Plenty of Clients Implementation Program.
